RoHS COMPLIANCE STATEMENT
The European Union (EU) has adopted Directive no. 2002/95/EC, also known as the “RoHS Directive” (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive, which became effective in 2002 and later recast in 2011 as Directive no. 2011/65/EU which also introduced additional requirements for Declaration of Conformity and associated CE Markings. Further amendments under EU Directive 2015/863/EU introduced phthalate restrictions, which will come into force on 22 July 2019 and similar RoHS-type legislation is evolving in a number of other countries worldwide.
The RoHS Directive bans the use of the following materials beyond the stated concentration levels for the product to be compliant:
- Lead (Pb) < 0.1%
- Mercury (Hg) < 0.1%
- Cadmium (Cd) < 0.01%
- Hexavalent Chromium (CrVI) < 0.1%
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) < 0.1%
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Esters (PBDE) < 0.1%
- Bis (2-Ethylhexyl) (DEHP) < 0.1%
- Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP) < 0.1%
- Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) < 0.1%
- Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) < 0.1%
Warwick Test Supplies Ltd is committed to being a responsible supplier and manufacturer and are dedicated to ensuring that products that we supply comply with legislation and known environmental good practice.
We supply a range of products via our franchised distribution. 99% of those products are either RoHS compliant or outside of the scope of the directive. There are a small number of historic or obsolescent products that are mainly used in the repair of old electronics that are not RoHS compliant. Unless advised otherwise at the point of order, products supplied by Us will be RoHS compliant.
Warwick Test Supplies Ltd declares that all products manufactured by Us are 100% RoHS compliant.
